The 9-Day Gut Reset:

An Ayurvedic Cleanse Aligned with the Rhythms of Nature

Your gut is the foundation of your well-being. In Ayurveda, digestion (agni) is the key to health, vitality, and longevity. When our digestive fire is strong, we experience clarity, energy, and a deep connection to ourselves. But when it is burdened by stress, toxins (ama), and an irregular lifestyle, we may feel sluggish, bloated, or disconnected.

“Fasting is not what I expected it to be. I feel much better afterwards and I am very open to repeat it regularily. I learned a lot about nutrition which is really interesting.“

Seasonal shifts naturally disturb our digestive fire, and if we are already out of alignment, this can lead to further complications as we transition from cold to hot climates. According to Ayurveda, during the winter months, we accumulate Kapha, the Earth and Water elements that build, insulate, and repair our bodies. Digestion operates at peak efficiency because the body requires extra energy to maintain an average temperature against the cold external environment. As spring arrives and the sun begins to melt the snow and warm the Earth, our digestion starts to slow down. This change can result in aggravation of Kapha in the body, leading to symptoms such as sniffles, respiratory allergies, and mucus build-up.

The auspicious Autumn & Spring Equinox is followed by the worship of the nine forms of Shakti, the feminine power of creation, calling us forth to awaken out of the winter slumber and prepare for The Sun’s gifts and Summer Season, in the Spring…. And reversely, ready to slow down and cultivate inner warmth, nourishment and wisdom after the Summer heat, as we prepare for the Winter in the Autumn.

The 9-Day Gut Reset is more than just a cleanse—it is a sacred opportunity to align with nature’s cycles, purify the body, and renew the spirit. Rooted in Ayurvedic wisdom and inspired by the Vedic tradition of Navaratri, this reset is designed to help you release what no longer serves you and awaken your inner radiance.

“The importance of digestion, the foods you consume, the timing, the amount, and the combinations. I have a much better understanding of how to listen to my body and its needs, really getting out of the head and into the body. To trust myself more. That I am a lot more capable then I give myself credit for. I have a much better relationship with myself and food now which is a relief and so empowering. A lot more to learn but this has been great”

Navaratri: A Sacred Time for Renewal

Navaratri, meaning “Nine Nights,” is one of the most auspicious periods in the Vedic calendar. It is a time dedicated to the Feminine Divine, honoring the cyclical nature of life and the transformational power of the Goddess in her many forms—Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati. These nine nights symbolize the journey of inner purification, abundance, and wisdom.

Each phase of Navaratri reflects a different aspect of renewal:

• The first three days invoke Goddess Durga, who helps us release toxins, stagnation, and old patterns—just as the beginning of a cleanse prepares our bodies by removing excess waste.

• The next three days honor Goddess Lakshmi, who represents nourishment, rejuvenation, and building strength—mirroring how our gut heals and absorbs deeper nourishment.

• The final three days are dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, embodying clarity, wisdom, and illumination—aligning with the integration phase of our reset, where we emerge with a renewed sense of balance and vitality.

In Vedic tradition, seasonal transitions are a natural time to cleanse, reflect, and reset. By aligning with this sacred rhythm, the 9-Day Gut Reset becomes more than just a physical detox—it becomes a ritual of transformation, reconnecting us with our own inner Shakti (life force energy).

The 3 Phases of the Gut Reset

This guided reset follows a rhythm inspired by Navaratri’s cycle of release, nourishment, and renewal:

Phase 1: Purification & Letting Go (Days 1-3)

In this phase, we release what no longer serves us. Just as Goddess Durga clears the path for new energy, we eliminate processed foods, sugar, caffeine, and digestive disruptors. We focus on warm, grounding foods, herbal teas, and digestive spices to prepare the body for deep cleansing.

Phase 2: Deep Reset & Nourishment (Days 4-6)

This is the heart of the reset, where we rest and restore the gut with a mono-diet of kitchari, an Ayurvedic cleansing dish made from rice, lentils, and spices. This phase allows the body to focus its energy on detoxification, digestion, and cellular renewal.

Phase 3: Rebuilding & Integration (Days 7-9)

Like the wisdom of Goddess Saraswati, this phase brings clarity and renewal. We reintroduce nourishing whole foods, support our digestion with mindful eating practices, and establish sustainable habits for long-term gut health.
